It’s our big guy’s birthday! We had a very simple celebration this year and of course we had a joint one with buddy Connor. We kept it simple just because both Lisa and I were pregnant but come to think of it, I think I would like to keep it as simple every year regardless of our condition! The kiddies seemed to have fun anyway!
We had the party at our place. Lisa and I were worried with the weather. We’ve been spoiled by our summer this year with a ton of sun but the very same weekend we were hosting the party (of course it was PNE opening weekend which chances for rain is always slightly higher!), we were threatened by a call for rain 🙁 I was so worried that we would have to cram all the adults and kids inside but luckily everything worked out. The take out prep was a zinch with Lisa picking up the Nando’s chicken, samosas, spring rolls and there was also of course good ol’ Costco goodies! Mrs. Ngo again created a cool cake for our boys which was a Thomas the Train theme cake. It was coconut flavour and I swear it tastes like one of my favourite Anna’s Cake House coconut cake that I’ve been munching for years!
We also went to PNE this year! I LOVE LOVE the PNE and now it looks like Matthew shares the same mutual feelings about this place. He wanted to go back after we had spent the day there! As our baby’s due date was fast approaching, I was praying that we would make it there this year at least once. Luckily for Matthew and I, we made it there three times! Yay! The first day, we managed to squeeze in almost everything we would have normally done – Show Mart, Playland, Henry’s Chicken, that chocolate fondue place, Dog Show, Mini Donuts, Ski Ball… I’m just so thankful that we did get to go and that Matthew enjoys that place as much as mommy does!
